Dr. Sarah Little grew up in Nebraska and Iowa.

Dr. Little always had dogs and loved animals of all shapes and sizes. She attended the University of Northern Iowa where she graduated with a degree in biology. She moved to Arizona to attend graduate school in microbiology at ASU. As a result of this move, she discovered she loved Arizona. She also realized she wanted to become a veterinarian. Dr. Little then left the warmth of Arizona to pursue her doctorate in Veterinary Medicine and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. After graduation she was again drawn back to Arizona and now calls Gilbert home. She has been a part of the Val Vista Animal Hospital family since 2003.

Dr. Little and her husband are blessed to have 2 young daughters. Her pet family consists of 2 dogs, a pug, and an athletic chocolate lab. Dr. Little enjoys sports and really loves running. She also enjoys shopping, hiking, jewelry making, and traveling.

Dr. Little is a member of the Arizona Medicine Association and American Veterinary Medicine Association. She has interests in soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, and behavior. When describing why she enjoys being a veterinarian, she said, "Every day is different. I never know what to expect. Animals amaze me. I am constantly learning, and I get to help people and their pets.
